Beck Town Hall with Black Community
By dipinion on Nov 15, 2009 in Common Decency, Constitution, Freedom, democrats
The other day Glenn Beck had a Black Town Hall, where he brought together many conservative and moderates and it appeared like there might have been a left leaning moderate. I saw where some were commenting on that show of their feelings of how things were done and how it came out.
I thought it was a bit scattered in content, but you know I think it comes down to, no one has ever tried to listen to the Black community before and they have so much they want to say. It was a bit disorganized but like I said there were so many there that had something to say and didn’t get a chance or it was edited out. I think it was very lively banter which was interesting. There were no solutions I think there were so many voices first that still needs to be heard because I bet many issues that affect the Black Community affects all other communities but to them it is handled or suppressed because well you know the Democrats know just what they need. I don’t think so. I think they use them as props, as reasons to control or try to take control because they needs to be taken care of. I think this is very wrong actually.
Obama Trashes Black People
That’s Unfortunate!
He really seems to think very little of the Black Community!
It appears he wants to keep them slaves, or on the Government Plantation of Entitlements and Handouts instead of a Hand Up to Success.
Why? They have brains. Real simple. They have brains, feelings, thoughts, solutions and many are not given the chance or expected not to be given a chance, it is better to keep them suppressed and quiet because it suits a political need. The need to control others because this community is so down and out. I don’t think the whole system needs revamping. I think though this community is Americans and they too have the same rights as the rest of us. Some get the chance to get out and make it and others feel so hopeless or think their situation is hopeless because they are handled and suppressed. See pride begins at home. Pride in self, is such an important thing we all possess. Whether we are crafters, executives, nurses, doctors, business owners, garbage man, city workers, teachers the list goes on and on.
Many in the Black community who have pride in themselves and not saying that they don’t work hard but those who take advantage of opportunities and work hard to make something of themselves and get out there and become doctors, nurses, executives, business owners etc, have made opportunities like all Americans. They have the gumption to jump at chances and attempt to succeed. Sure some don’t, but you know it happens that way in all communities, we succeed, we fail then we get back up and try again or try something else to get to where we hope to get to. You know Dreams. The dreams that every person possesses of who they hope to be when they grow up and what they think they want to do or try.
I don’t profess to understand their struggles, but I can see how the struggles are harder now especially in these harsh political times. I see where the Democrats expect them to vote for them because they promise to give them something. They promise to hand over things to them, see this isn’t pride if anything it is suppression. When you are given something over and over you don’t truly appreciate it, because someone is going to give you more so why worry about it. But those who make it themselves, work towards a goal, get the best thing that anyone can give anyone, and that is Pride. Pride in yourself that you made something yourself, Pride that you succeeded in attaining your goal. That is what all people need the opportunity they must work towards, the opportunity to feel that same pride in self. That same pride that takes you a step further. No one can or should expect freebies from the government. When it gets to that point you are no better than a slave, and didn’t we stop that in 1865. Some may disagree but every person who has ever attained that Pride in self will tell you different.
No one has ever given or handed out anything to me. I have not received anything on a silver spoon. Everything I have I worked hard for. Everything I have done I did it myself. Or I got help. Help is dfferent than handout, because sometimes we might need some assistance to showing how, helping carry a heavy load, or just advice we may need. I feel good where I am. I am not rich, I am not poor but I am taken advantage of because the perception in our politicians is since you work, since you pay taxes we can take all you make and line the pockets of organizations that claim to help segments of society with very little going to that segment they purport to help.
I might have some of this wrong, but from where I am standing I don’t think too much is wrong. I think the voices of all must be heard and if you choose a different course than others in your community doesn’t make one a bad one or disloyal to your community. Because the Black Community like all of us are Individuals with a brain and we are all different, all the same in some respects and all have thoughts, feelings, and ideas of what is right for them and it isn’t all the same just because you are black. What is great about American no matter what walk of life you come from, we all have the same opportunities with the same struggles as the next guy and who is willing to work hard towards any goals and we all have the same opportunity to succeed and to fail. But one great thing about America is, if you fail, you can start all over again.

I am including links to the pages with the voices of what they thought about that show, it really shows they have something to say and want to say it, just like the rest of us. They like all of us should have that same opportunity not because they are Black, not because they are Democrats but because they are…….. Americans. The melting pot of the world of which they are in the pot with the rest of us.

This sort of thing is so very wrong and the thing that bothers me, is Obama had called out the thugs advised Democrats “punch back twice as hard.” Gladney was the first casualty.
